’90 Day Fiance’: Asuelu Takes Kalani on a Crazy Date
90 Day Fiance‘s Asuelu Pulaa is finally stepping up and taking Kalani Faagata out on a date. They haven’t had the easiest time so far on Happily Ever After and Kalani is fed up with her hubby’s behavior. In the premiere, Asuele and Kalani discussed the hardships they’ve faced in their nontraditional relationship. But now Asuelu is taking his wife on a crazy date away from the kids.
90 Day Fiance: Asuelu Pulaa & Kalani Faagata Struggle With Relationship
A lot of the relationships featured on 90 Day Fiance are very unconventional which is why half don’t work out. Kalani Faagata and her Samoan husband Asuelu Pulaa are no exception to this rule. Since their season aired, the two have had two children and life hasn’t been all smooth sailing for them. Especially when it comes to Asuelu’s parenting or his lack of it. In fact, it’s so difficult that Kalani’s parents have moved in with them.
Yet, it’s still not enough to make Kalani and Asuelu have time for each other. In the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After premiere, Kalani confronted Asuelu about her desire to spend more time together. But Asuelu had a hard time understanding why it was so important to her. So, Kalani said if he doesn’t change, she doesn’t “know if I can keep doing this anymore”.

Asuelu Takes Kalani on a Date
In a preview for this Sunday’s 90 Day Fiance episode, Asuelu Pulaa has actually taken what Kalani Faagata said into consideration. He shows up with a bouquet of roses and some chocolates for his 90 Day Fiance bride. Now that he understands “how important” spending time with each other away from the boys is, he’s decided to take Kalani out on a date. He plans on taking his woman on a “romantic date”.
On the next 90 Day Fiance, when Asuleu walks into the bedroom and sees Kalani, he says, “Wow, that looks beautiful” about her dress. He gets down on one knee, much to Kalani’s delight, and gives her the flowers and tells her the flowers “smell of my love”. Then, he says the chocolate is the “sweet of my love for you” and Kalani says she “loves it”.
90 Day Fiance: What’s Romantic About Axe Throwing?
Kalani Faagata is “giddy” as she and Asuelu head to their destination. Because he told her it would be romantic, that’s the only thing she knows about their date. They pull into a shopping center and she is pretty confused. “Where are we?” she asks.
Asuelu points to a sign that says “Fat Axe STG” and tells her, “we’re going to throw some axes”. Kalani laughs and wonders if this is his idea of romantic. Her husband says, “yeah baby” with a big smile. But will Kalani be happy about the activity or will she have an actual ax to grind with her husband?
Happily Ever After airs on Sundays at 8/7c on TLC.
