Although things have not been easy, it is taking him a lot to readjust to being under his parent’s roof again and dealing with their strict and controlling ways.

Fans of 7 Little Johnstons say they are feeling bad for Jonah Johnston. The 22-year-old son of Amber and Trent is facing a difficult time in his life.

Fans recall his parents forced their son to move back home following a terrifying experience with a synthetic cannabis substance called Delta 8.

Since then, his mom and dad have been calling all the shots in his life, including his relationship. His girlfriend Ashley did not like that when she came to visit her boyfriend, Trent and Amber had a laundry list of strict dos and don’ts.

Even though she agreed to abide by the Johnston’s rules, something that she could not accept was the invasion of privacy that took place.

Jonah Johnston’s parents seized an opportunity to go through their son’s cell phone, reading all his private text messages between himself and his girlfriend.

Naturally, they did not like what they read and confronted the pair. That was the last straw for Ashley, and things between the couple have not been the same since.

The 7 Little Johnstons son, Jonah, has admitted to his sister Anna that his relationship has drastically changed. He tells her that they are currently on a very necessary break. However, they are doing okay.

Jonah continues confiding in his sister, saying that things between him and Ashley are at a standstill for now. He says he understands that his dad and mom are not in complete favor of their relationship. Especially his mom. She believes it is best for him, for now to be away from Ashley.

He shares with Anna that he feels the need for their mom and dad’s full support in his relationship. The reality star adds,” I want my parents on board. I’ve realized that if your parents aren’t on board, it is difficult for a relationship to be practiced as it should be.”

TLC Parents Driving Their Children Away?

It is no secret that the 7 Little Johnstons‘ parents Trent and Amber, have been receiving criticism. TLC fans are not on board with the couple’s need to control their adult children’s lives.

They feel that the parents are overstepping. Viewers think Amber and Trent crossed the line by invading their son’s privacy when searching through his cell phone.

They say they understand their fear considering Jonah’s recent drug experience. However, they are going too far.
