Once Chris got his goal, he set to working hard to eat healthier and lose weight. Also, he talked about how he wanted to get healthy to keep up with Brittany Combs, who is younger than he is. He complains about how Brittany helps him with simple tasks around the house, like putting on his socks. Then, he opens up about how he isn’t able to do these things anymore because of his weight. 1000-lb Sisters: Chris Combs Rumored To Be Denied Surgery Again
After recovering from COVID-19, Chris Combs learned he put on weight. But, he challenged himself to drop the weight he had gained while being sick. Eventually, 1000-lb Sisters fans learn that Chris is approved for gastric bypass surgery at the end of Season 2.
However, rumors are going around online saying he isn’t getting the surgery. These allegations state Chris hasn’t stopped smoking and it’s the reason why he hasn’t gotten the operation yet.
Amy Slaton, Chris’s sister, needed to stop smoking for her to receive her operation. Weight loss surgeons recommend that patients stop smoking before their procedures, as it greatly reduces the likelihood of complications developing during the operation. Also, the nicotine in cigarettes has the potential of slowing down the recovery process.
This is why doctors tell patients to stop smoking before their operations. However, the entire 1000-lb Sisters family appears to smoke. Even after her surgery, Amy Slaton’s caught on camera smoking a cigarette.
