1000-lb Sisters: Amy Slaton Talks About Suicidal Thoughts

Amy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters talked about a date night that went wrong a few years ago that caused her to want to take her life. She says she met with a man at McDonald’s, where her brother Chris Combs works. She says things went really well between her and the guy, so she wanted to go to a hotel with him. After talking to the guy for a little bit, she said she asked him if he’d like to go to a hotel with her.

They eventually went to a motel that’s a few towns over, around a half an hour away from the McDonalds managed by Chris Combs. This was before she met and married her now-husband, Michael Halterman. The 1000-lb Sisters personality says it was late at night when she and the gentleman checked into their room.

But, after getting to the room, things didn’t go so great. Amy said the man she talked to is still pure (i.e. a virgin), so she wanted to be the first person to remove his purity. After drinking and smoking, things heated up with them. As Amy Slaton from 1000-lb Sisters tries to put a few “love marks” on his neck, she says he got angry. Eventually, he pinned her to the bed and screamed in her face.

After this, he bailed and left Amy alone in the room. Due to her optical condition (partial blindness), she couldn’t drive herself. After that rejection and abandonment, Amy said she didn’t know what to do. She had no cellphone, money, or a ride home. Then, Amy Slaton said she thought about taking her life then and there. She said she didn’t feel like she meant anything to anyone in that moment.
