5 Hot ‘Young and the Restless’ Plots for Summer Newman in New Episodes
Young and the Restless continues filming, and we expect Summer Newman (Hunter King) to be in the first new episodes as she continues her storyline with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). But, with the latest social distance guidelines, what will they do about the romance brewing there on Y&R. Here are five things we’d like to see with Summer in new CBS soap episodes.
#1 Summer Newman Rocks as a Business Woman on Young and the Restless
New episodes should have plenty of business themes – because it’s more natural to social distance with a desk between characters, right? So, we expect to see more of Summer Newman running Jabot with Kyle. With his cousin out of the way, they’re a power duo in charge of a huge corporation.
We’d like to see Summer Newman flexing her business brain on Young and the Restless to take Jabot to new heights. While Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) would prefer her at Newman Enterprises, he’ll be proud as she makes her mark on Genoa City’s business world.
#2 Kyle Abbott Proposes on Y&R – And Gets His Divorce
Young and the Restless fans that love “Skyle” would like to see Kyle on one knee with a beautiful big diamond ring for Summer Newman. Of course, he first needs to cut his legal ties to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). That back and forth isn’t healthy for her, Lola, or Kyle.
Remember, though — Kyle left Summer once for Lola on Young and the Restless. So, he needs to decide to move forward with Summer and put the pretty chef behind him. Then, maybe a lower-key wedding since they already had a big ceremony before she donated part of her liver.
#3 Summer Settles Her Rivalry With Lola on Young and the Restless
These two ladies would be better served by putting aside their differences and being best friends on Y&R. After all, Summer Newman saved Lola’s life, and that’s important to acknowledge. Then, Ms. Rosales stole her husband and bedded him while he was newly married.
Young and the Restless recaps remind of Lola’s shady behavior – and Summer’s. So, since neither has clean hands, maybe they can settle their differences. Plus, Lola’s got her eye on Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) now, so perhaps they can double date…
#4 Summer Bonds With Her Mom & Sets Her Straight on Y&R
Young and the Restless knows Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is at war with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Plus, she still hates Victor understandably. Perhaps Summer Newman can help her mom move on from these vendettas.
Now, Summer’s behaving better than her mom on Young and the Restless. So, it’d be great if Summer sets a good example and helped Phyllis get back on the straight and narrow. Plus, her parents’ reunion freaked her out – and maybe needs to speak up on that.
#5 Baby Plans for “Skyle” on Young and the Restless
Once Summer Newman marries Kyle, will they start a family? Isn’t it time for a new generation of Newmans – and a Newman-Abbott offspring to unite the families? Of course, since Summer’s got a lot less liver, a pregnancy might be risky – and that’ll make for good drama, too.
