Young and the Restless Spoilers for Thursday, May 13, show that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will play a dangerous chess game. It causes the ex-fugitive to do some serious soul searching. What kind of man does he want to be, and can he really change on the CBS soap opera? Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Newman Dreams of a Battle with Victor Newman
As Adam Newman tries to sleep in his hospital bed, he is bothered by nightmares. He dreams that Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) body rejected his kidney. Sharon (Sharon Case) blames him for the failure. Then Adam is playing a round of chess with his father. Victor Newman tells him to think about his moves carefully as they will determine his fate.
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) then enters as the Knight and challenges him. He argues that while Adam claims to be simply misunderstood, his actions say otherwise. So the detective lectures the prodigal son about causing Chelsea Newman’s (Melissa Claire Egan) breakdown on Young and the Restless.
As the challenge goes on, Rey hits Adam Newman with a harsh truth. The Newman heir always runs to Sharon because he thinks she can save him. He has convinced her that she is the only one who can on Y&R. Now is the time to break his hold over her and allow her to move on with her life.
Adam’s Past is on Display on Y&R
Young and the Restless spoilers show the Pawn is the next piece on the board, and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) appears. She tells Adam she has learned from her mistakes and now has a happy family. But he shouldn’t underestimate the power of the pawn. If it can make it to the other side of the board, it gains the power of any piece. He takes Victor’s pawn to protect his Rook.
Bad move as Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) shows up. This is your last chance at redemption, he declares. Like a fortified Castle, if you don’t take down your walls, they will block out the good things in life, like joy, love, and happiness on Young and the Restless. Then the Abbott heir says that they will be connected for life because of Delia. While Billy has made many attempts to take Adam Newman down, he must forgive him to move on with his life. It is the only way to bring down the walls.
Soon Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is the Bishop. She reminds him of all the fun they had together. Blackmail, hacking emails, changing Victor’s medications. The redhead argues that he can’t change. So she wants him to be as ruthless as his father. She whispers, “call me,” as she leaves.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Makes His Move
Victor Newman makes a move on his son’s Queen and a White Knight appears, Nick (Joshua Morrow). Your plan worked, he tells his younger brother. You have come between Sharon and Rey yet again. Adam reminds him of the talk they had in Kansas. You know I am sincere.
As they talk, Sharon arrives dressed in white as the Queen. However, she doesn’t think she is the one who should stand by his side. She thanks him for saving his daughter. But then says now he must do what’s best for them all. So he must let her go for good on Young and the Restless.
Adam Newman realizes there is no way he can win, so he forfeits. So he wonders what move would have allowed him to best his father? Chelsea walks over and tells him she was his Queen. He could have had everything he wanted. Instead, he brought another woman into their home. He even kissed her. But it is too late now. She has lost her mind.
Victor leaves the table as Victoria (Amelia Heinle) takes his place. You will never be the Knight like Nick and Rey she taunts. But it is not about how you play – it is about winning. Checkmate, she states. I am the one you should fear the most. Adam gasps as he awakens from the dream on Young and the Restless.
Sharon and Nick Get Good News on Y&R
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) tells Faith’s parents that she should make a full recovery. Adam walks by Faith’s room and looks in the window. So Nick joins him and asks what he will do now that he is a free man. His brother says he has lost the game, but he will make amends. He has to reset his whole life.
Sharon goes to talk to her ex. She argues he has to let her go finally and completely. She knows she played a role in their kiss, but she loves Rey. So Adam Newman promises to help her get her husband back. He will use his power for good, not evil. He really can change.
As she leaves, Victor arrives. His son is determined to move forward. So he promises never to let his dad down again. Victor is happy to have his son home for good. Victor returns home and has a drink as he sits at the Chessboard. Checkmate, he whispers. I win again.
