Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) faces accusations that he tried to kill Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). He denies the shooting, but without a rock-solid alibi, evidence lines up against him. Will the Abbott bad boy go down for the latest attempt to get rid of Adam on the CBS soap opera?
Billy Abbott Tried to End Adam Newman More Than Once on Young and the Restless
History reminds us that Billy Abbott tried to murder Adam Newman a couple of times. First, back when Billy Miller played Billy Boy – and Michael Muhney played Adam – the scene got ugly. Recall he was wound up about Delia Abbott’s death and decided on vengeance on Y&R.
Back then, on Young and the Restless, enraged and grieving, Billy kidnapped the other man and took him on the car ride from hell. He plotted to kill Adam, and they took a terrifying ride in Billy Abbott’s vehicle. Then, when he pulled a gun, Adam Newman struggled with him and was shot.
That was five years ago, on Young and the Restless, as Billy lost control of the car, and it crashed. He left Adam for dead, burning in the car. Plus, the police know Billy Abbott tried to slaughter Adam Newman back then. However, the Newman heir didn’t press charges for the brutal assault that nearly took his life. Later, Billy tried again.
Angry Abbott Tried to Murder Adam Another Time on Y&R
After Adam Newman came back alive on Young and the Restless, with recast Grossman in the role, Billy went crazy again even though he’d answered in court for Delia’s death (back when Justin Hartley played the part). That was when the off-kilter Abbott turned into “killer Billy”, the gum-chewing psycho on the CBS sudser.
But when Billy Abbott tried to run down Adam again on Young and the Restless, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) intervened and saved his life. Then, she warned her baby daddy to drop it and not try to kill him again. However, in recent months, Billy tried to destroy Adam in other ways.
On Young and the Restless, he had Chance Comm publish the scathing article that devastated others as well – including Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). Plus, he’s been plotting a follow-up article. He wants to destroy Adam Newman utterly. So, when the police soon look at him for the latest shooting, there are many reasons to do so.
Police Question Billy Abbott – Will He go Down for a Crime He Didn’t Do on Young and the Restless?
It seems unlikely on Y&R that Billy shot at Adam Newman and hit Chance on accident. While he doesn’t have a solid alibi, he’s also working on other ways to wreck Adam that wouldn’t get his hands dirty. However, Billy Abbott’s snarky comments about wishing him dead make him look bad to the GCPD. Plus, there’s more evidence.
On Young and the Restless, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) notes that Billy wishes Adam was dead. But there’s more to it. The shooter’s perch was right by the offices where Billy works. So, Rey sees that the guy has one known attempt on Adam’s life — plus motive, means, and opportunity to do it again. So, they’ll question him about the event.
However, it seems unlikely that Billy’s the shooter aimed at Adam Newman on Young and the Restless. Instead, spoilers point to someone else who blames Adam for the death of a loved one. Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) is a likelier candidate with a grudge to settle and access to Chance Comm.
But will Billy Abbott go down for her crime of gunning for Adam Newman? And if he does, is it just karma for the other times he tried to kill the guy? Watch for what’s next, and the twist ahead for November sweeps on Y&R on CBS daytime.
