‘Young and the Restless’: Nick a Hypocrite to Hassle Summer About Kyle?

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick Newman Freaks Over Engagement

This week on Y&R, Summer Newman excitedly proposed to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). And of course, Kyle proposed too. Now, she’s got her rock on a chain instead of her finger. That’s because Kyle’s still working on his divorce. However, Summer Newman’s dad finds out soon and flips his lid.

Watch later in the week, say Young and the Restless spoilers, for Nick Newman to lose it. He thinks Summer’s moving too fast and putting her trust in the wrong guy. From Nick’s perspective, he sees Kyle’s still a married man. And that’s just the first issue. Second, Kyle broke Summer’s heart.

Remember on Young and the Restless when Kyle married Summer Newman to get her liver? Then, he cheated, divorced her, and married Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) – who got the organ donation. That’s a hard thing for her dad, Nick Newman, to forgive or forget. Those scars will (literally) never go away…

Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis Summers Jumps in to Defend Summer Newman

In Young and the Restless spoilers, Phyllis also isn’t thrilled that Summer Newman’s moving so fast with Kyle. It’s not like she forgot how things blew up with them after their last wedding. However, Phyllis also credits Summer for knowing what she wants and being a strong woman.

However, Nick Newman’s frustrated that she’s opened herself to heartbreak again. Plus, in Young and the Restless spoilers, Nick’s also angry that Kyle’s moving so fast while still married to another woman. Plus, it’s the woman he dumped Summer to marry. Nick’s furious.

And he’s not the only Newman. As Young and the Restless fans see this week, Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) not cheering the speed of this “Skyle” reunion either. Both Newman men worry for Summer. But, when Nick explodes, how will Summer react? Will she push back with both hands?

Will Summer Remind Nick of His Own Sketchy Past on Young and the Restless?

It wasn’t too long ago on Y&R that Nick Newman’s last wedding blew up in his face. Remember when Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) dumped him at the altar after exposing he’d cheated with Phyllis (then Gina Tognoni)? That wasn’t one of Nick’s proudest moments. Plus, recall that Nick Newman fought his brother over a woman recently.

So, Young and the Restless spoilers tease that if Nick comes down too hard on Summer Newman, she might unload on him. It’s not like Nick has a perfect track record with women. In fact, Summer might point out that he’s no better than Kyle (minus the organ transplant). How will her dad handle that?

It’s unlikely that she’ll break her engagement on Young and the Restless. Instead, we’d expect Summer Newman to stick to what she wants. And she wants Kyle. Of course, she knows Nick Newman wants to protect her – but she won’t let him be a hypocrite when it comes to her fiance.
