‘Young and the Restless’: Lily Falling for Billy – Christel Khalil Says She’s Ready
Young and the Restless spoilers left us hanging on what will happen between Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Thanks to the quarantine, we may not know until this Fall what happens with the brewing chemistry between them. However, the actress spoke up on what she thinks is next for her character on the CBS soap.
Young and the Restless Christel Khalil Speaks on Lily Winters’ Fate and Future
In a recent soap mag interview, actress Christel Khalil talked about her future with Y&R. And also that of her character. Now, Christel confirmed that she’s staying long-term at CBS daytime and is wide open to what happens next. That’s is a significant change for the actress.
Remember on Young and the Restless, she left and took Lily Winters with her during Mal Young’s disastrous reign as showrunner. In fact, Christel Khalil moved to Canada to be with her boyfriend, Sam Restagno. Now, though, everything changed for her and the character too.
So, it looks like we’ll be seeing lots more of Lily Winters after production resumes at Young and the Restless. Already, Christel Khalil decided to move back to LA and focus on her career. However, the COVID hiatus slowed those plans, but she’s on track to relocate as soon as possible.
Y&R Spoilers: Will Lily Winters Hook up With Billy Abbott?
Although Young and the Restless spoilers hint Billy Abbott has his eye on Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), they’re still sizzling chemistry with Billy and also Lily Winters. So, many are wondering if there will be a Lily-Billy-Amanda love triangle coming on Y&R.
But, what does Young and the Restless‘ Christel Khalil think about Lily getting with Billy Abbott? First, it’s clear that she’s a fan of Jason Thompson’s and complimented his professionalism in her recent interview. However, many fans always see Lily as part of “Lane.”
While Christel says she remains close with her former scene partner Daniel Goddard, she’s happy that Lily’s stepping into something new on Young and the Restless. And she also mentioned the sparks flying between Lily Winters and Billy Abbott in scenes before the shutdown.

Actress Says Lily is Ready for Love Again on Young and the Restless
Although a faction of fans will always want Lily Winters with Cane Ashby, clearly, that’s not happening. And, there are no signs that Goddard will return to the CBS soap. And that clears the path for Lily to fall for a new man. As of now, all signs point to that being Billy Boy Abbott.
As for what the actress thinks about it, she says that Lily is ready for love. Of course, as everyone saw on Young and the Restless, Cane broke her heart again and again over the last few years. Still, Billy Abbott’s another heartbreaker who also may hurt Lily Winters.
But, if Lily wants another bad boy, then Cane’s quasi-brother Billy is one, for sure. Of course, we’ll have to wait for new Young and the Restless episodes, hopefully by Fall, wants CBS daytime gets back to shooting the drama. Wait to see if Lily Winters is paired with Billy Abbott then.
