Young and the Restless Romance for Sharon Newman & Adam Newman – Real-Life Partners?
As we’ve reported before, there are several signs that Y&R actors Case and Grossman are dating for real. And with love scenes banned between most actors, some soaps are using spouses and partners as body doubles. It’s even easier if the partners are already on the show.
Our source behind the scenes at Young and the Restless said Adam Newman finds out about Sharon Newman’s cancer and is distraught. Then, Adam’s relationship with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) hits the skids, we’ve heard. So, Adam Newman may rebound to Sharon.
Plus, the Adam and Sharon actors have reportedly dated behind the scenes for a while now. So, Young and the Restless could film love scenes with them. So, brace yourself because we might get Adam Newman paired with Sharon Newman soon. And that leaves Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) single.
Y&R Matches Victoria Newman with JT Hellstrom Again?
Young and the Restless exes JT Hellstrom and Victoria Newman might get another chance, too. Real-world exes Heinle and Luckinbill quarantined together with their kids, so they’re safe to film scenes together. Of course, JT was off his rocker last time around – but Y&R could solve that.
They can say that JT Hellstrom’s cured on Young and the Restless or say that wasn’t him, and it was an evil JT-twin. Or, they could bring in an unknown twin of JT to pair with Victoria Newman. It’s a soap, so they can pretty much write what they want – no matter how improbable.
Plus, many Young and the Restless fans were annoyed that former showrunner Mal Young trashed JT Hellstrom’s character and had him abusing Victoria Newman. So, if the writers can redeem JT, then he could be with Victoria again – and viewers would like that. Plus, it seemed like the CBS soap dropped hints recently with the wedding flashback (see below).
Young and the Restless Couple Changes Ahead
First, we know that Y&R’s sticking to social distance and shooting outdoors where they can. Plus, they’re modeling on the Bold and the Beautiful approach to new episodes. Meanwhile, GH’s latest promo showed no social distance, which is strange. So, we’d expect COVID to drive some plots.
We should see Young and the Restless using actors’ spouses and BF/GF to film scenes. But, it’d be even easier to redraw couples and match for those that work together. That points to Sharon Newman with Adam Newman. And also, Victoria Newman with her ex JT Hellstrom (or his twin).
We also got info from our set source at Young and the Restless that the only couple safe from a swap is “Niktor.” We look forward to some Billy-Amanda action and heard Nick-Phyllis splits soon as Nick’s eye turns to his ex. Wait and see if Adam Newman pursues Sharon Newman – and whether JT Hellstrom (or a doppelganger) gets a new shot with Victoria Newman.
