General Hospital star Kelly Thiebaud is leaving her role of Britt Westbourne this November. And her upcoming exit could bring tragedy for the Co-Chief of Staff on the ABC sudser.

GH fan-fave Britt Westbourne will be leaving the soap again this Fall. Long-time fans know Kelly Thiebaud leaves from time to time to work on other projects. This time, she will reprise the role of Eva Vasquez on the primetime drama Station 19 for their 6th season.
General Hospital fans are happy for Kelly Thiebaud, but, of course, they will miss her greatly. Britt Westbourne is a fun and great part of the daytime drama. Once upon a time, she was a villainess — the character you love to hate.
But she’s changed her ways, and Kelly brings a whole new dynamic to her. She’s more kind and vulnerable and no longer lives up to her former nickname, “The Brittch.” And sadly, Britt is going through a tough time these days.
Britt Westbourne Struggling on GH
Currently, on General Hospital, it’s a difficult time in Britt’s life. She’s not right since losing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in Greece. Plus, she’s struggling with her looming Huntington’s disease diagnosis.
And, so far, the only person she’s let in (besides Jason) is her mom, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Plus, Liesl’s boyfriend, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).
Now, newbie Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is making life harder for her. He’s annoying her at every turn. Perhaps, there might be romance ahead for her and the cowboy.
Although, fans don’t want that for Britt. But it won’t last long if she ends up with Cody. Soon, the GH doctor is leaving, so she either takes off or there’s a significant crisis ahead for Britt.
General Hospital Casting Update: November Sweeps Brings Tragedy?
Kelly’s exit is set for November, so it might be just in time for November sweeps. Viewers hope Britt won’t die, but it is possible. Even though she could live for years with Huntington’s, it is a death sentence.

Usually, Kelly comes back to General Hospital. But the showrunners may decide to go the dramatic route and make her succumb to the disease. On the other hand, she may not die.
But, she could take a turn for the worst and go into a long-term care facility. No one wants to see “Britta” die. So, hopefully, she stays alive and returns as soon as possible.
