Moriah Plath rebelled against her Welcome to Plathville parents’ restrictions throughout the show. She regularly wore clothes her family didn’t approve of and experimented with bright and bold makeup. And she even went so far as to move out at the age of seventeen. After the move, Moriah continued to go against her family’s traditions and values. Kim Plath only allowed the children to listen to worship music. But Moriah listened to, and wrote her own music, in the pop and country genres.
She also started dating and had a serious relationship with her boyfriend, Max Kallschmidt. And Moriah Plath visited a recording studio and recorded some of the songs she wrote. She continued to pursue a career in music. Next, Moriah Plath revealed that she got a tattoo, which is something her Welcome to Plathville family definitely didn’t approve of. The tattoo said, “black heart” and outlined the scars on her wrist. Then, Moriah decided it was time to change her blond hair to separate herself from the rest of her siblings.
Black Hair for a Black Heart
The Welcome to Plathville siblings all sport beautiful, blond hair. And Moriah Plath wanted something different. She recently took a chance and dyed her hair for the first time. Moriah dyed half her hair black and left the other a beautifully contrasting blond. And the change in color seemed to be in theme with her brand new tattoo and what fans considered to be her favorite color.
In her explanation, Moriah said that she, “just needed change” and said the new hairstyle showed off her wild side. Then, she ended the post with a black heart and anchor, which seem to be her signature these days. First to comment was her Welcome to Plathville boyfriend, Max. And he said he loved the new shade and Moriah Plath thanked him for being supportive of her. But then more comments came rolling in as followers reacted to her choice.
