People who follow the reality TV show, and Lisa’s Vanderpump Rules, know that Lisa Vanderpump is passionate about dogs and stopping the dog meat trade. Her Vanderpump Dog Foundation started in 2016 to prevent cruelty to animals. However, top on their list was the consumption of dogs at the annual Yulin Dog Meat Festival.

Lisa Vanderpump’s devotion to stopping the killing and eating of dogs did not only focus on China. For years, they felt that it should be stopped everywhere. Together with other organizations who wanted to stop the trade, they pushed for legislation in the USA as well. Lisa Vanderpump was ecstatic to announce that finally, the House passed a bill to prevent people from eating cats and dogs. According to ClickOnDetroit, “The House passed a bill on Wednesday outlawing the consumption of cats and dogs in the United States.”

Lisa Vanderpump’s Twitter post showed how pleased she felt about the news. She wrote, “It has been an amazing day! # HRes401, the resolution we have worked on for years urging all nations to outlaw the dog & cat meat trade, passed on the House floor!! It has been a long journey! They cited the Humane Society as saying, “The House has passed the Cat and Dog Meat Trade Prohibition Act (H.R. 6720) to keep this brutal industry from taking hold in the U.S. & strengthen our hand to press other countries to ban it.”

Followers of Lisa Vanderpump commended her for her stand on the brutal practice.
