‘My 600-lb Life’: Ashley Randall Dead at 40

My 600-lb Life star Ashley Randall passed away on October 2nd, 2021. The TLC started her weight loss journey in Season 1 of the hit show.

My 600-lb Life: The Struggles of Ashley

Ashley Randall starred in Season 1, Episode 5 of My 600-lb Life. At the age of 24 years old, she weighed 617 pounds. Her mother openly resented her “for being fat” and talked about it at the beginning of her weight loss journey. However, Ashley’s stuck living at home because of her weight.

She shares her target weight is 240 pounds. Also, she shares she loves children and aspires to get back into working with children again. Then, she reveals her biggest fear is dying within the next year when her story went live with TLC in 2012.

After working hard to lose weight, and with the help of Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, she managed to drop 400 pounds. But, her weight loss eventually stalled and she wasn’t allowed to get skin removal surgery. In addition, she often talked about how she wants to improve the appearance of her legs. She states this is the part of her body she’s the least happy with.

On My 600-lb Life, Ashley Randall struggles with the passing of her father. Her father passed away after fighting cancer. After the loss of her father, she stopped fighting to lose weight. While she got down to 216 pounds, at her lowest weight, she ended up putting weight on again. In three years, she got up to 312 pounds.

But, she revealed she didn’t want to give up on losing weight. Plus, she says her father always wanted her to lose weight. So, she wasn’t completely ready to give up on her weight loss dreams.

Sadly, Ashley Randall passed away after her body became septic. She was fighting against a “terrible infection” that caused other health problems to appear. Her family reports that one of the conditions she began to fight against was “pneumonia.”

In addition, her family members report they went to the hospital to be alongside her as she was being taken off of “life support.” However, her family is shaken by the passing of their loved ones. One of her family members shared a picture of themselves, holding Ashley’s hand as she’s in the hospital.
