Married at First Sight alum Jamie Otis takes the coronavirus very seriously. The young mother didn’t think much of it when news first broke about the pandemic. But, she is taking the necessary steps to protect herself, Doug Hehner, and her growing family. What else did she say?

Married at First Sight: Jamie Otis Didn’t Take Coronavirus Seriously

The host of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Jamie Otis, didn’t think much of the Coronavirus when news of the outbreak first came out. In fact, she carried on with her life. It was business as usual for her, husband Doug Hehner, and their young family. They’ve been on vacation and living normal lives with everything going down.

Married at First Sight pair Jamie Otis and spouse Doug Hehner were in Siesta Keys, Florida. They love the area and recently bought a home in Sarasota. But, with pressure mounting and panic rising relating to the coronavirus outbreak, Jamie Otis came clean online about what she is doing now to protect her family.

MAFS: Jamie Otis Says She Was Wrong About Coronavirus

Turns out Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner recently changed their tune on the coronavirus threat. She recently said online that the family will fly back home despite enjoying their time in Florida. Doug Hehner’s wife added that she was “WRONG” and that she’s “scared” of the threat.

Meanwhile, she went on to say she didn’t realize how serious the coronavirus threat is. And, that she can admit when she’s wrong. She said she thought everything would just “blow over”. But, with a young toddler and a baby on the way, she decided to take serious action to protect her family from here on out.

As a registered nurse, Married at First Sight‘s Jamie Otis said she is “ashamed” of herself. Her choice to live as normal as possible put others at risk. And, she apologized publicly to her fans and followers. Meanwhile, she added that she and her family will wear face masks, gloves, and keep hand sanitizer close. So, it certainly looks like she is taking the threat more seriously.

Married at First Sight: What’s Next for Doug Hehner and Spouse Jamie?

Even with everything happening right now, Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis have a lot to be happy about. They recently got their dream home in Sarasota, Florida. In addition, Jamie Otis is 32 weeks pregnant with her second child. So, there’s a lot going on right now for this MAFS family.

Appearing on the first season of Married at First Sight, Doug Hehner and bride Jamie Otis are a prime example of the show getting it right. And, many viewers root for them and their continued success. So, despite everything going on right now with the pandemic, watchers are happy to see them progressing and continuing to build a life together. And, in the meantime, it’s worth keeping an eye on Jamie Otis’ upcoming due date.
