The action in Salem has people worried about what’s going on with Will Horton. He woke to the awful news that his father, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), was arrested for kidnapping his mom and possibly murder as well.

Nice for him that his husband, Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker), brought him an iced coffee and a sweet treat to take away from the sting of that bad news. The scone sparked something and the two husbands hit the sheets.

But there’s more twists afoot on Days of our Lives. Spoilers say one of these causes Will to exit DOOL. It seems he’ll get an offer that he can’t turn down, and it’ll take him away. This is right after his parents’ failed wedding…

Today, he got a screenwriting offer from Hollywood. And it sounds very tempting. But with Sonny running Titan, he can’t pack up and go with him. So, it looks like the husbands will be apart for a little while.

Fans Asking if DOOL Actor Chandler Massey is Gay

Given all the screen time lately for the hot married men, fans are asking questions about the characters and actors. One is whether Will Horton is “gay in real life” meaning they wonder about Chandler Massey’s personal life.

Although Massey’s been on Days of our Lives playing Will quite authentically as an LGBTQ character, the actor is not gay. Neither are either of the actors that recently played his hubby Sonny Kiriakis.

When Does Fan-Favorite Will Exit Days of our Lives?

Will Horton leaves Days of our Lives this week. Chandler Massey’s last airdate was Monday, July 18, 2022. It’s a strange time for him to leave with his dad in jail and possibly a murderer.

Plus, his little sister’s all torn up about that and their mom, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), ditching Salem. She sent an expletive-filled text rant promising never to return and took off last week.

But his exit is a little more dignified. It seems Will’s leaving for a hot job opportunity. Remember, the Days of our Lives’ character’s been expanding beyond news writing into screenwriting.

So, he got a new “top secret” assignment and might even get to direct. At first, Will Horton considered turning it down. But Sonny sorted out the logistics and told his beloved hubby to take the leap.

But we’d imagine that Sonny’s husband will be back before too long. Currently, Chandler Massey works in a full-time technical career and only shows up on the NBC soap for short arcs here and there.
