‘General Hospital’: Can Nikolas Cassadine and Ava Jerome’s Marriage Survive Esme Prince?
General Hospital spoilers reveal that there is real trouble in paradise for Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) tried to destroy the lovebirds and she may have succeeded. Can they save their marriage?
General Hospital: Nikolas Cassadine and Ava Jerome’s Love Story
This couple did not have a typical love affair at all. In 2016, Ava and Nikolas found themselves on the same plane. The two shared a kiss on Cassadine Island. Later, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) took them hostage, along with some other General Hospital favorite characters.
Valentin forced Nik to give up his fortune, and then tried to shoot Ava. Nikolas fell out the balcony window when Valentin shot him. He was presumed dead.

Nik was alive and came back to GH in 2019. There was a codicil to Mikkos’ will, which would give Nikolas back his fortune, but Ava had it. The two entered into a “fake” marriage so that they could share the fortune.
The two eventually gave into their feelings for each other and fell in love. It looked like this twosome might just be happy — until Esme Prince entered the picture.
Esme Prince Destroys a Marriage on General Hospital
When Esme Prince came to General Hospital, she set out to destroy lives. One of her main targets was Ava Jerome. She began her life in Port Charles by blowing up Ms. Jerome’s car.
And left her dead daughter’s General Hospital badge at the scene. Then she let her boyfriend, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) take the blame.
Targeting Spencer’s stepmom made sense once it was revealed that Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) is the wicked teen’s dad. Ryan wants to break up his obsession’s marriage.
Esme’s other target is Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). She set out to destroy her rival. Ava Jerome loves Trina and will do anything to protect her.
The Cassadine marriage became troubled when the couple began fighting about Esme. Nikolas Cassadine somehow liked the girl and let her stay with them which his wife was not happy with.
Esme drove them apart and slept with the Cassadine prince. When Ava found out, she was so enraged and fought with Esme, who fell over the parapet. Is Esme dead or alive on General Hospital?
Can Nikolas and Ava Get Through This?
This once happy marriage became a wreck due to one evil girl and her even more evil dad. But Ava and Nikolas still love each other.
There is something that just may save this relationship. Nikolas Cassadine is stepping up and trying to protect his beloved now.
He is helping his wife to cover her tracks so that no one will know she was fighting with Esme when she fell. The most important thing for him is to keep Ava’s name out of what happened.
Ava and Nikolas need to spring into action, West Coast. How will they move forward in the wake of Esme's fall?

The two are working together to make this happen. Ava Jerome may see that Nikolas is stepping up for her this time and regrets his actions. But Mrs. Cassadine is pretty tough, and it may not be enough to forgive him for sleeping with his son’s girlfriend.
Fans are rooting for this couple because they make a great team on General Hospital. Most would like Esme to be dead and the pair to get back to where they were before she came along.
