‘Days of our Lives’ Monday April 10, 2023: John Kapelos Cameo – Patch Brawls with Bo Brady [RECAP]

Chad & Marlena Talk about Kate Roberts’ Death – Days of our Lives Recap
Marlena is reading and relaxing when Chad DiMera came to see her alive and well for himself. He says it’s a miracle. He just wishes Kate was still alive too. Doc tells him that she heard a shot and thinks someone took out Kate Roberts.
And Chad talks about losing Abigail Deveraux and said knowing what happened to her made it easier on him. Doc says they were kept knocked out most of the time.
Chad says Megan claimed that Thomas Banks snatched Kayla. Doc’s stunned. She says it’s possible since he’s an associate of Megan’s. But she never saw Banks there.
She doesn’t know who else was there with Dr. Rolf and Megan Hathaway but knows there was one more person in the lab facility. She said she doubts it’s Banks because the mystery person was frozen too at one point.
Chad’s upset about Kate but happy that she had Marlena and Kayla Brady with her in her final hours. He goes to leave and is surprised to see Stephanie Johnson at the door.
DOOL Recap Monday, April 10, 2023: Stephanie Shocked – Joey Had a Bad Accident
Stephanie Johnson gets an alarming phone call while she’s with her brother, Tripp Johnson on Days of our Lives. She says it was a hospital in Seattle and their brother, Joey Johnson, was in an accident.
Tripp’s concerned and happy to hear Joey only has a broken leg and a couple of cracked ribs. So, Stephanie says she has to go to Joey since her parents are out of town. But Tripp says he’ll go to Seattle and care for their brother.
He says Wendy Shin will understand since she has a brother too. Tripp insists and tells Stephanie to go see Marlena. They hug and she goes. Wendy comes in and sees Tripp has a bag packed. He’s sorry to break their date and explains.
Tripp tells Wendy that Joey’s in surgery and he wants to be there when his brother wakes up. So, Wendy reassures him that he’s doing the right thing. He asks for a raincheck on their date and she’s happy to say yes. She sends her best wishes to Joey.
Over at Marlena’s, she hugs Stephanie who’s stunned to see Chad there. He calls Marlena a miracle. Then, she asks Doc if she can hypnotize her to help her recall every word of the phone call with her mom. She says Tripp suggested it.
On Days of our Lives, Chad lingers while Marlena hypnotizes Steph. She recalls the static on the call. She can’t remember enough, and Chad blames himself. But, Stephanie remembers the name “Victor Kiriakis” despite his interruption.
Patch Brawls with Bo Brady in Days of our Lives Recap
Steve Johnson grills the Greek police officer and is told Shane Donovan is there already asking questions. They send Patch to wait with “Shane”. He’s stunned to see it’s Bo Brady — alive after all this time.
Bo looks annoyed. He avoids eye contact and then resists when Steve hugs him. Patch wants to know how it’s possible and why he’s posing as Shane. Then, Bo says it’s a long story but Steve presses him for info.
Patch asks why he’s there asking about Rolf. Bo lies and says he’s undercover for the ISA. He tries to sidestep Steve who gets upset at him. Steve says “some psycho” took Kayla. He says they think it’s Thomas Banks that took her.
Then, VV wants to call Hope Brady to tell her that her soulmate’s alive but Bo snatches away his phone. He confesses that he kidnapped his sister but refuses to explain. Steve demands to see Kayla. And Bo said he’d never hurt his own sister.
Things turn pissy between the men. Steve’s in a fit of rage and things turn physical. And Bo tells him to get the hell off… Bo threatens him with a knife but Steve reminds him they’re best friends. He reminds Patch that he took his eye years ago on Days of our Lives.
They grapple and Bo stabs at his one good eye. He embeds the knife in the wall, then pulls a gun and pistol whips Steve unconscious. Bo drags a knocked-out Steve into the lobby and threatens the cop. He hands over the prisms to him.
He tells the cop that Patch is a con artist as he comes to, babbling. Then, Bo drags him out still staggering and mumbling…
Kayla’s Heart Breaks over Victor Kiriakis’ Love for Caroline Brady
Kayla Brady finds a letter to her mother, Caroline Brady, that was marked return to sender. She’s amazed that Victor Kiriakis kept the returned letter after all these years. She’s thrilled to find some old reading glasses then rips open the envelope to scan the letter.
She reads it out loud. Victor writes how painful it was to leave her behind in Salem. The letter goes on to say his feelings for her and his desire was so strong. He left because he didn’t want to have his feelings on display for all to see.
And Victor wrote that he wanted to tell the world how much he loved Caroline and that made him a ticking bomb. He left so he wouldn’t hurt her family. Kayla’s in tears reading this. Then, Victor wrote about dreaming they’d have a child together.
That was before it came out that Bo was Victor’s bio-son on Days of our Lives. So, the letter says he knows they can’t marry and have a family, but he dreamt of a son with her. Next, the letter invites her to Greece, to his childhood home.
And Victor wrote that they could be together there. The message says he wants time with her. In the letter, he says he wants Caroline as his wife. He knows it’s impossible but wants her to think about it. And he ends the letter saying he’s forever hers.
Kayla’s done reading and stunned to see Bo hauling Steve into the room. Bo leaves them alone as Kayla cradles her husband’s face. He’s so happy to see her as she peppers his face with kisses.
Days of our Lives Cameo – John Kapelos from The Breakfast Club!
Harris Michaels and Hope Brady are asking questions about Thomas Banks at a Greek tavern. The owner remembers Harris from a couple of years ago.
Holy cow! Do you recognize the tavern owner, Konstantin? Think back to The Breakfast Club — the janitor Carl! It’s John Kapelos in an amazing cameo on the Peacock soap opera! So cool.
Konstantin thinks Harris is a wanted man that escaped. He asks if he’s holding Hope Brady against her will and pledges to keep her safe from Harris. He’s ready to bash Steve Burton’s character with a baseball bat.
Hope talks down Konstantin and shows him an article showing Harris was cleared of all charges. And Harris apologizes about his past. The tavern owner says sorry, and they make polite introductions on Days of our Lives.
Hope shows him a photo of Kayla but he’s not seen her. They ask him about Thomas Banks and he says he’s not seen him in a long time. Then, Konstantin asks to treat them to dinner at his tavern. They decline but he insists.
Romance in the air for Hope & Harris in Days of our Lives Monday Recap
It turns out Harris and Hope met at that same tavern a year ago. Konstantin gushes about them as a vibrant couple. He serves them dinner and Harris suggests they get back on the search after dinner.
Then, Harris talks about when they were last there, he was under Megan’s control. But he still saw her as a beauty that turned every man’s head in the tavern. Music starts and she’s reminded of dancing on the table last time.
A dancer offers Hope his hand. He won’t take no for an answer. She joins in with a dance as Harris looks on smiling. Then, she breaks a dish and shouts “opa” and then another.
She dances the syrtaki with them but drags Harris in as well. He cuddles her close and the chemistry is sizzling. They kiss as the other dancers twirl around them.
