A rainbow baby is a baby that comes after the loss of a pregnancy, stillbirth, or infant loss from natural causes. TLC’s Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth from Counting On experienced a stillbirth with her last child. Both Joy-Anna and her sweetheart Austin, are now grateful for their little rainbow Evelyn Mae.
Evelyn’s name reflects their gratitude and hopefulness. Evelyn means “wished for baby,” and that’s exactly what this little one was. The pregnancy went well for Joy-Anna Duggar, and the delivery wasn’t as difficult as she was initially worried. In fact, Joy-Anna Duggar of Counting On was surprised by how at peace she was throughout the pregnancy after a little bit.
Joy-Anna said she was worried she would be nervous about the pregnancy. But she felt good throughout the majority of it and took a lot of time to get ready for “baby girl.”
Joy-Anna Enjoy the Farm with Evelyn Mae
At around two weeks old, Joy-Anna Duggar took her little bundle to see the farm. The young mama said she thinks the baby likes the farm as much as she does. In fact, Joy-Anna says Evelyn is relaxing and enjoying herself outside.
So far, there aren’t any photos with any other family members. They may still be social distancing, but many fans think they are just avoiding pictures and the backlash that would come with them. Many critics of Counting On gave the family a hard time throughout the quarantine for being in groups.
Whatever the case, it looks like Evelyn and her mother, Joy-Anna, already have something in common. Joy-Anna’s friends commented that she doesn’t even look like she just had a baby. And the beautiful pictures of mom and baby are melting hearts.
Counting On: Fans Say Baby Looks Like Austin Forsyth
As Joy-Anna Duggar shared about her little bundle, fans started to say how much Evelyn favors Austin. They said that the Forsyth genes are strong—especially that nose. Everyone agrees that both of Joy-Anna’s kids look exactly like their dad.
Whatever the case, it seems like the new mom is more than happy to look at the little cutie. And fans are excited that the little one is happy and healthy—no matter who she looks like. Everyone wants to see pictures with brother and sister as well.
Many of Joy-Anna Duggar’s sibling from Counting On and other family members commented on the photos. It looks like at least a few of them still haven’t seen baby in person.
