Counting On‘s Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth and Austin Forsyth recently welcomed a new baby. And introducing her to her big brother didn’t go exactly as planned.
Counting On: Joy-Anna Duggar & Austin Forsyth Stay in Hospital
Joy-Anna Duggar’s last pregnancy was her third. The Counting On star experienced a stillbirth with her second pregnancy. And this third baby had some complications as well, and that kept them in the hospital for multiple days.
Austin Forsyth and Joy-Anna Duggar were grateful to the Counting On siblings for keeping TLC’s Gideon Forsyth. They didn’t plan on being in the hospital that long. But the family pitched in to make sure Joy-Anna and her husband Austin didn’t have anything to worry about—except new baby, Evelyn Mae Forsyth.
After blue light therapy to deal with Coombs, the hospital released Evy Mae. Counting On celebrity Joy-Anna was ready to get out of the hospital and back to her son Gideon. But they didn’t get the reaction they expected.
Joy-Anna Happy to Come Home
Since Jana Duggar and a couple of the sisters had Gideon, they met up and got him. Joy-Anna was excited to get home, but it didn’t seem like Gideon Forsyth felt the same way. When the Counting On crew tried to do the exchange, he wanted to stay with his Aunts.
The Aunts said he wanted to go play, so that’s why he was giving so much trouble. Whatever the case, Counting On new mom Joy-Anna got Evy Mae out of the vehicle and showed her to Gideon. At first, it didn’t look like he would show any interest, but that changed.
Gideon looked at his little sister and noticed she has eyes. Joy-Anna kept telling him that Evy Mae was his baby. And the Counting On cutie seemed to get the message and smiled at his little sister.
Counting On: Austin & Wife Ready for a Break
When Austin Forsyth and his family got to their house, some of their family was there to welcome them. Joy-Anna’s mom, Michelle Duggar, was there along with some of Austin’s family. They decorated the house and made sure everything was ready for them.
Austin had a headache, so he wasn’t too chipper when he got home. But Joy-Anna said they had some help staying the night, so they were hoping for some good rest. The baby was lying there, sleeping happily on the couch.
The young couple did have help in the hospital. But it’s hard to sleep well in the hospital when the beds make you feel so uncomfortable. Counting On celebs Joy-Anna and Austin planned some time to relax and get back on their feet.
