‘Counting On’: Jill Duggar Enjoys ‘Time of Her Life’ with Family
Counting On’s Jill Duggar Dillard headed out on a long road trip with her family recently. They drove hundreds of miles to the beautiful beach of Gulf Shores, Alabama. And it was their first family beach trip together.
Counting On: Jill Duggar Prepares for a Road Trip
The road to the beach is a long one from Arkansas to Alabama. But TLC’s Jill Duggar, her husband Derick Dillard, and the kids, Samuel Dillard and Israel Dillard, did amazing. Most of the drive was clear and beautiful for the Counting On family, but when Jill got to Mobile, Alabama, it started to pour buckets of rain.
Despite the rain and the high winds, Jill Duggar and Derick took the kids down to the beach as promised. But Jill and the family quickly got back in their on-the-beach condo and waited for daylight to have more outdoor adventures. The boys didn’t mind climbing into their beds after a long day on the road—especially since they had fish on the walls near the bed.
The condo Jill Duggar stayed in was cozy, and the Counting On kids said they loved it. Jill and husband Derick were right on the beach, and in the morning, everyone was ready for some sand and sun. After some breakfast, it was time to head out the back and down to the beach.

Israel had been to the beach before in El Salvadore, but Sam had never been to a beach. Jill Duggar of Counting On said Israel Dillard didn’t remember the beach anyway because he was so little. But it looks like it is still afraid of the waves like when he was little.
At first, it was a little hard to get Israel into the water, but after a while, he warmed up to it. But when he went out to the sandbar with Counting On star Derick, he said he felt a little fish biting at him. And he didn’t want to have any part in going out far in the water again.
Later, Derick Dillard saw a purple jellyfish. And it sounds like the kids had an amazing new experience for the memory books. Jill spent a lot of time on the beach and by the swimming pool, but it looked like the whole Counting On crew enjoyed some good food.
Counting On: Enjoy Good Eats & Good Times
Jill Duggar told viewers of Counting On that she and Derick ordered in some local cuisine one night. They made it their little date night while the kids were in the living room watching some television. It was really cute, and they said it all went well, but they had some other enjoyable eats too.
Jill and her family drove over to “Flor-Bama” to one of the local spots. Jill Duggar got shrimp tacos, and Derick enjoyed some other local food. They said it was delicious as they ate in their car and enjoyed their food.
The family vacation was a success, but fans couldn’t help but hear Jill say Derick Dillard was there for an interview. SD will keep you updated on if they are moving or if Derick is getting another job to work remotely.
