Counting On family member Jill Duggar Dillard shares how her nose caught the first clue to indicate that something wasn’t quite as she planned. While the mom of two is not part of the Counting On cast, she keeps her fans up-to-date with her online posts. Despite sharing mostly mom things online, fans of Jill Duggar Dillard find her quite entertaining.
Counting On: Jill Duggar Dillard Kitchen Backlash
The daughter of the 19 Kids and Counting fame doesn’t sit right with all the moms out there. Jill Duggar’s claim to fame these days include her various recipes shared online. Some seem to be her own concoctions. But Jill has also been accused of claiming a dish or two as her own creation when borrowing a recipe.
This Counting On sister doesn’t always see thumbs up from fans for the nutritional value in her cooking. Other moms hop online frequently to critique Jill Duggar after posting a recipe with a high-fat content. Jill tends to cook things high in carbs as well, so she gets a lot of online backlash when presenting these recipes.
But the Counting On cook didn’t need fans to point out her blunder this time around. Jill Duggar herself shared a rather smelly mistake she made recently in a recent Instagram story. It seems she beat her fans to the punch by making fun of herself.
First, Jill does admit chasing two toddlers around all day tends to tire out a mother. So when she recently decided to prepare the old stand-by for many moms – macaroni and cheese – Jill Duggar Dillard made a mistake.
Jill’s Hearty Lunch Blunder in a Cup
The bubbly Jill Duggar Dillard wasn’t preparing a home-made batch of mac and cheese. No, she microwaved this cheesy macaroni dish. It sounds like it came in one of those cups geared for microwave cooking. Typically the directions call for just adding water.
Serving mac and cheese in a cup instead of making her kids a homemade version probably wouldn’t surprise Jill’s fans. This summer fans slammed the mom of two for all the canned food in her kitchen. Counting On enthusiasts spotted her grocery stash in a few of her posts online.
But the Counting On celeb missed one important step with her cheesy meal in a cup. It seems by the time Jill realized this, it was too late. Again, she admits she was tired chasing her little ones all day. She also was a bit distracted by the kids at the time.
It seems Jill got a laugh out of the situation as she describes seeing smoke coming out of the microwave. She thought to herself “that’s interesting” watching the smoke swirl. When she opened the microwave, the smoke billowed out and filled up her kitchen.
Counting On: Stinky and Smokey Mess
This Counting On mom also explained how the smell was an immediate indication of what went wrong. It seems years ago she forgot to add water to ramen noodles and that distinct odor filled the air.
But that was back before Counting On and even long before she became a mom. Jill did that ramen noodle caper while she was still just a kid.
Well, it looks like she repeated that mistake once again. It appears as if Jill missed one important step out of the three-step process of preparing this microwave dish. She forgot to add the water.
So it looks like her son Sam Dillard’s meal turned into a black-charred mess. But it also happens this mom keeps a well-stocked kitchen. The Counting On mother simply grabbed another cup of mac and cheese but this time she used water.
Jill Duggar Dillard also used this incident by turning it into a warning for other moms out there. Shes offered that warning on a few of her posts for her Counting On followers out there. So she shared her latest cooking tip – don’t forget the water when preparing microwave mac and cheese.
