‘Counting On’: Jessa Duggar’s Baby Ivy Takes Huge Steps Into the Future
Counting On star Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben Seewald’s daughter Ivy Jane Seewald is growing up fast. The couple’s third child and only daughter (so far) is just a few weeks away from her first birthday. Ivy’s first year of life certainly has been memorable. She’s experienced a lot of firsts this year.
However, her latest accomplishment is a huge milestone. In fact, this latest feat of Ivy’s makes Jessa’s role as a mom even harder. Here’s the latest on Baby Ivy.
Counting On: Jessa Duggar’s Daughter Is Going Places
Counting On cutie Ivy Jane Seewald is unstoppable now. The soon-to-be one-year-old is now officially walking. According to her doting momma Jessa, the toddler began taking a few steps last week. Then this week all of a sudden she took off and isn’t looking back.
Most children take their first steps somewhere between 9 and 12 months of age. So Counting On’s Ivy Seewald is right in line. However, most children aren’t fully walking well until they are closer to 14-15 months old. So it appears Ivy is a little ahead of the curve on the walking front.
Jessa Duggar’s “Mini-Me” Is Walking
Counting On mother of three Jessa Duggar Seewald is proud of her daughter’s newfound skill. While Ivy’s daddy, Ben Seewald, films his daughter’s first long walk, Jessa calls out the number of each step. In the video clip above we see Jessa cheering her mini-me Ivy on. The on-the-move toddler took 15 steps before stumbling. Then she took about five more to reach her mom’s arms.
Of course, Jessa’s thrilled over Ivy’s latest accomplishment. In fact, Jessa shares she cannot wait to have Ivy show her grandparents, Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob Duggar, her latest skill. However, that might have to wait a bit longer since most families who do not live together are still maintaining social distancing.
Counting On: Shoe Shopping In Ivy Jane’s Future
It’s no secret how much Counting On alum Jessa Duggar enjoys shopping. Whether it be for home decor items or clothes, Jessa certainly loves the thrill of finding the perfect piece at an even better price. Of course, it’s every fashionista ‘s dream to teach their own child the joys of shopping. Certainly, now that baby Ivy is officially walking, a trip to a shoe store is in her future.
Perhaps Jessa will invite along her sisters or mom and make it a girls’ day out type of experience. No doubt after all these months apart the Duggar ladies will love an afternoon together.
