Counting On: Jana Duggar Stays Home with Family
TLC’s Jana Duggar is the oldest daughter in the Duggar family and twin of John-David Duggar. Viewers continue to wait for Jana of Counting On to start courting. In fact, it’s become a sort of a joke to Jana Duggar and her family.
Some fans of Counting On say Jana Duggar does let it bother her despite her tough outer shell. Recently, she said she does want a boyfriend but that she wouldn’t marry the first person that came along. Some thought that was a jab at her siblings that got into marriage early through what some call arranged marriages.
At 30 years old, some say Jana should move out and start her life. But Jim Bob Duggar said it is cheaper for the children to live at home. Even though the Counting On daughter stays at home, it seems like she is doing things a little differently than her other sisters.
Jana Breaks the Daughter Mold
Counting On star Jana Duggar said she would do things on her own time table. It doesn’t look like she wants to move out any time soon with her new greenhouse and her big garden. But she does want to make her own money, which is why she started her business.
Jana said she wants to sell home decor and help out with things like that. But recently, it seems like she’s putting that dream on the back burner. In fact, now, she works with her brother, James Duggar, on some of his projects.
Counting On celeb Jana said she is working her dream job now. Fans said they are glad to see she is doing something to support herself and make money. Other daughters in the family only study homemaking and don’t work outside the home.
Counting On: Living Life on Her Own Terms
Viewers wonder how Jana Duggar’s parents feel about her entrepreneurial efforts. While they marry off some of their youngest children, it doesn’t seem like they push Jana into marriage. Some viewers think Jana is too headstrong to be pushed into a marriage that doesn’t make her happy.
She went on some solo trips and surprised herself by liking it. For a while, Counting On celebrity Jana Duggar said she wouldn’t marry anyone that didn’t live in Arkansas. But it looks like she opened up her criteria a little bit.
Jana said if she found someone she loved that she would follow them to the ends of the world. Viewers said it is sad to see her searching for love with no luck. But other people applaud her for her bravery in stepping into the business and work world.
