‘Counting On’: Grandma Mary Duggar’s House Still on the Market – Price Slashed over $60k [See Pics]

Counting On’s family matriarch “Grandma” Mary Duggar‘s home is still for sale. The Duggar family listed her house a few months after she suddenly died. However, after over 90 days on the market, the property remains unsold. In fact, the family has slashed the listed price over $60,000. The last reduction just happened this week and accounts for the huge slash. Here’s what we know about Grandma Duggar’s Springdale, Arkansas home.

Counting On: Details Of Mary Duggar’s House for Sale

The Counting On matriarch, Mary Duggar, purchased her spacious home just two years before her death for almost $400 thousand dollars. The spacious country estate sits on almost two acres and is 4,000 square feet. The property also has a fenced-in pool and a large storage building that can be used as a shop/office and or home school classroom.

Mary Duggar’s house has soaring ceilings, wood floors, and a double staircase. The family room has a fireplace and mantle that nearly reaches the ceiling. The country kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. They are plantation shutters adorning the windows throughout. This Counting On home is truly a stand out property.

The ‘Counting On’ Family Drastically Slash Price On Grandma’s House

Counting On’s famous Duggar Family put Mary’s house on the market just three months after her accidental death on the property. The initial list price was $489,000. However, even with a well-publicized open house at the end of the first month on the market, her house remained unsold. So the family made a modest price reduction of $14,000 to $475,000 at the end of October. But even with that drop in price, Mary’s house still didn’t have any takers.

Now The Duggar family is serious about unloading grandma’s house. On Dec 4, they lowered the asking price to $428,500. That is $46,500 from the last listing price and over $60,000 from their original offering price of $489,000. Clearly The Duggars are highly motivated to unload this property.

It’s interesting that with so many of their adult children married and expanding their own families that Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar didn’t move one of their kids into the property. After all, Mary’s house is just one mile away from their “big” house.

Mary Duggar Tragic Death

Counting On’s Grandma Mary died this past June. She slipped and drowned in the pool in the yard of her home. This happened on a Sunday afternoon after she spent the morning in church with a few of her grandchildren. And, her daughter Deanna Jordan found her mother and called for emergency assistance.

Counting On fans recall Mary Duggar is Jim Bob Duggar and Deanna Jordan’s mother. She is the grandmother of 20. Additionally at the time of her death was the great-grandmother of 13. The season finale of her family’s TLC show will show her celebration of life service next week.
