‘Big Brother 22’: Julie Chen Confirms Premiere Airdate for BB22 All-Stars
Big Brother 22‘s host Julie Chen Moonves just confirmed that BB22 is happening this summer. Not only that, but she dropped the premiere date and a brand new logo that’ll go along with the All-Stars season. It’s happening folks and you’re not going to want to miss out on this juicy information. So, what’s the scoop?
Big Brother 22: Julie Chen Drops Major Hint Towards Upcoming Season
Soap Dirt was first to report that CBS accidentally uploaded Big Brother: All-Stars merchandise to their store for BB22, before the official announcement. This confirmed what our sources had been telling us about the new All-Star season. Immediately after our report, CBS took down the merchandise. It turns out a CBS intern had accidentally jumped the gun and put the promotional items onto the CBS online store. But, we all got to see what the new BB22 logo looks like.
Now, Julie Chen announced (officially) that Big Brother season 22 will be an All-Star even and will premiere on August 5th, 2020.
But, before the official announcement, Julie Chen shared a teaser video of a hot cup of tea. Ironically, she wasn’t spilling any new tea as Soap Dirt has been reporting on CBS leaks as the network has tried to keep a tight lid on things.
Yet, that wasn’t all. In the background of the video, the song “22” by Taylor Swift was playing which is an unmistakable nod to Big Brother 22. It’s the first we’ve heard from Julie all summer. Obviously, it’s caused a lot of talk among excited fans. And add to that, it was posted on the 22nd day of the month.

Julie Confirms All-Star BB22 Season – Confirms Premiere Date
Now Julie Chen has confirmed what our inside sources have been telling us. The season is going to be Big Brother: All-Stars. And it will have an August 5th premiere date. Julie tweeted this morning a series of pictures along with the BB22 logo. The pictures read “All-Stars Make The Game”. Underneath the logo was the date August 5 and CBS just did a press release for the show that included a lot of information.
According to Julie, Big Brother 22 houseguests will consist past winners, legends, and some of the greatest players ever. The BB premiere will be a two-hour move-in special on Wednesday night. Plus they’ll be testing them for coronavirus weekly and screening them for symptoms daily. It’ll be the same for the BB22 crew.
Big Brother 22: Cast Arriving For COVID-19 Testing
This video from Julie Chen comes only a day after some other Big Brother 22 news. Yesterday, we confirmed that potential contestants for the All-Stars season have started flying in. You can see the list of names of players who have arrived right here. Not only that, but there will also be a group of unknowing alternates being tested for COVID-19 as well. This is just in case the core group tests positive.
