Alaskan Bush People star Billy Brown went against doctors’ orders when deciding to live on the mountain, as high altitude isn’t good for him. The higher up he goes from sea level, the harder it is for the Alaskan Bush People patriarch to breathe.
Alaskan Bush People: Billy Brown Didn’t Follow Doctor’s Orders?
Billy Brown was in and out of the hospital through previous seasons. When he came home with his diagnosis, he gathered his Alaskan Bush People clan to tell them it was his heart that’s ailing.
Because he had a hard time breathing he always assumed it was his lungs. But the diagnosis from his last emergency scare pinpointed the problem being a serious problem with his heart.
Ami Brown told her adult kids that their father wasn’t going to get better. Then their dad decided that he’d rather die on his Alaskan Bush People mountain rather than anywhere else.
Drag It Down the Mountain
Keeping in mind how their father’s breathing is better when he’s lower on the mountain, the kids made arrangements to move him to a lower elevation.
Ami and Billy Brown lived in a trailer on the mountain ranch. So before the patriarch arrived home from the hospital his Alaskan Bush People kids dragged the trailer down the frozen mountain trail until it was at a lower spot.
These few episodes were rather sad. Fans learned Billy Brown wasn’t going to get better and that he already decided he’d die on the mountain. This all happened before the latest season of Alaskan Bush People aired.
Alaskan Bush People: Then What?
Well, the latest season of Alaskan Bush People had the siblings all building their forever homes on the mountain. Gabe Brown and Noah Brown both have wives and babies. They thought that instead of building separate homes they’d make one big one for three of the families.
The plans called for Gabe and his family in one part of this home. Then Noah and his family of three in another section. But a third section would put their parents smack dab in the middle of their two son’s families. This way they’d have lots of access to their grandbabies.
Billy Brown was seen on the last Alaskan Bush People season on the mountain with his family. Then the fire hit and reports indicate they lost a lot of their ranch.
Not much else was said about Billy’s prognosis. Of course, the fans were overjoyed that Billy was there with his family. But because he looked so well, fans wondered if things were dramatized just a bit to bring fans back to the last season.
Serious Words Said
When that season ended, the one where Ami discussed her husband never getting better, fans became hooked. Their hearts went out to the Browns who make up the Alaskan Bush People clan. So, viewers tuned-in again when the last season aired for any updates they might offer.
But it seemed strangely forgotten or at least not talked about on air. This family comes off as being poor as they have very little while living daily life on the screen. But it seems their net worth is $60 million. So, it appears as if the fans don’t get the entire real picture of the Brown family.
Fans have known this for a while, which leaves them questioning almost everything they hear from this series. While confused over Billy’s diagnosis, Alaskan Bush People viewers seemed relieved to see him up and around last season. Especially after such dire news the season before.
Ami said Billy won’t get better from his diagnosis but maybe that means he can live a lot longer than fans thought. Billy’s plan to die on the mountain didn’t come with a timeline. So, while Billy Brown does struggle at times with his health, it could be he’s planning to do some living on that mountain as well.
