90 Day Fiance: Jorge Nava Details Arrest
Jorge Nava’s 90 Day Fiance drug arrest is a big topic among fans since it happened. And, now that Anfisa Arkhipchenko Nava’s ex is out of the clink, he recently talked about the circumstances surrounding police picking him up. And, he shared some interesting details about the ordeal.
According to Jorge Nava, he believes cops pulled him over illegally. And, on top of that, he believes the subsequent search of his vehicle was also illegal. Interestingly, he said the officer that pulled him over said he heard him “weaving” on the road. But, Jorge added the actual police report says they pulled him over for “driving too perfectly”.
90 Day Fiance: Sketchy Arrest Details Led to Lighter Sentence?
90 Day Fiance celeb Jorge Nava said the canine unit didn’t detect anything on the first pass because he had everything vacuum sealed properly. Turns out, he had close to 300 pounds of pot on him that night. But, he was nabbed for it during the second sweep of the “open air search”. Meanwhile, he questions whether police on the scene did anything to influence that second search.
Even so, Jorge believes everything about the stop and search was “messed up”. He was originally slated to serve two-and-a-half years behind bars. But, in reality, it was roughly 20 months. And, he believes the sketchy details surrounding his arrest led to a lighter sentence – especially in the state of Arizona that’s traditionally hard on drug-related crime.
Meanwhile, Jorge Nava added that he signed a plea agreement pre-trial. And, that taking his case to trial was a much bigger risk overall – especially with nearly 300 pounds of marijuana in the 90 Day Fiance star’s vehicle.
Getting Back into the Cannabis Industry?
Even though Jorge Nava is fresh out of the clink, that doesn’t mean he is completely in the clear. Jorge said recently that he’s still on probation. And, that he has roughly nine months to go. Interestingly, Anfisa Arkhipchenko Nava’s former 90 Day Fiance flame said he can smoke marijuana while on probation with a medical marijuana card.
Meanwhile, Jorge doesn’t let his arrest stop his business aspirations. He said he wants to get into the business of CBD oil as a way of “softening the blow” while still keeping his foot in the door of the cannabis industry.
Does Jorge Regret Filming TLC’s 90 Day Fiance?
In addition, Jorge said his experience filming 90 Day Fiance was both a “blessing and a curse”. While it certainly gave him exposure, he said he wants to focus on building his own brand independent of the popular franchise. He said he is open to filming more television documenting his journey from prison to what he plans on doing now in the pot industry.
Currently, there’s a lot of interest surrounding Jorge Nava and what he will do next now that he’s out. And, based on what he recently revealed, he certainly has a handful of plans in the works – including releasing a drug-themed clothing line with a streetwear brand called Kilos To Paris.
