90 Day Fiance: Jihoon Lee’s Custody Battle Could Cost Deavan Clegg a Fortune – Here’s Why

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Jihoon Lee is moving fast with his custody battle against Deavan Clegg. Shortly after verifying his GoFundMe, the TLC star proceeded to hire a lawyer to represent him in America.

90 Day Fiance: Jihoon Lee Hires ‘Well-Capable’ Lawyer

Looks like Jihoon Lee is going all out in his legal battle against Deavan Clegg. Despite being thousands of miles away, the 90 Day Fiance alum managed to make a big move that could make or break his case.

Earlier this week, Jihoon’s fundraiser organizer, Amanda Crosby, revealed they have secured a lawyer to help fight Deavan in court. The Other Way cast member hired Joseph C. Alamilla, a family law attorney from Utah.

90 Day Fiance’s Jihoon Lee and his team are confident that their lawyer is “well-capable” of winning the case. With 17-years of experience, both in the criminal and family law field, things are likely to be extra challenging for Deavan Clegg’s team.

The Other Way: Jihoon Almost Lost Son for Good

It seems Joseph Alamilla knows how to play their cards right. The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star’s attorney immediately filed a counterclaim against Deavan Clegg, saving Jihoon from potentially losing Taeyang for good.

It was revealed that Jihoon was only given until this week to respond to Deavan’s claims. Failing to do so would result in him possibly losing custody as Deavan moves for default. The very thought of losing Taeyang panicked Jihoon.

But Alamilla’s quick response prevented that from happening. He managed to file a counterclaim just a few days before the deadline. It was also revealed that Jihoon Lee’s attorney is not waiting for the $50,000 GoFundMe money to come in.

90 Day Fiance: Custody Battle Could Cost Deavan Clegg More Than She Expected

Meanwhile, Jihoon Lee’s custody battle could cost Deavan Clegg more than what she expected. According to Joseph Alamilla, it’s possible that the 90 Day Fiance mother might spend more money on Taeyang after the case.

He suggested that if Deavan is found guilty of “abandoning” her family in South Korea then moved to the U.S., she should be made responsible for Taeyang’s travel expenses when visiting his dad. He said Jihoon could demand her to shoulder transportation costs of their son going back and forth to South Korea. So far, Deavan Clegg has yet to react to Jihoon Lee’s attorney’s claims.
