The real kicker is that they’ve owned said bar since 2015. Added to this, Evelin’s family also runs a restaurant close by as well.
With an established business under their belt, it seems the couple have been together a lot longer than TLC cameras suggest. With a family restaurant nearby, it’s also clear that Corey Rathgeber is on good terms with Evelin Villegas’ family. Does this mean all their drama on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way was manufactured to create a more dramatic storyline?
90 Day Fiance: How Long Have They Been Together?
Their TLC bio notes that Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber have been dating for over four years. The bar they own (Cocteles del Paraiso) was established in 2015. The selling point this season on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way is that the six Americans abandon their lives in the United States to start over in a foreign country. But, with a life in Ecuador and a business, it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of starting over for Corey Rathgeber.
Corey Rathgeber says on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way that he is giving up everything he has to go to the middle of nowhere in Ecuador. The clips don’t say he left for Ecuador to return to a business and relationship. It’s unclear at this point how deep the possible misleading editing runs but there are more than a few flags on the play when it comes to this couple.

Some fans believe Evelin and Corey are the latest couple to have their real story altered. It wouldn’t be the first time a couple did this to collect a paycheck. Perhaps this new crop of cast members means new opportunities to manufacture drama for ratings.
