90 Day Fiance: Corey Rathgeber Arrested in Ecuador

Turns out Corey Rathgeber violated the very strict curfew in effect in Ecuador. With the coronavirus threat in full swing, many countries around the world take measures to prevent the spread of the virus. One of these measures is a curfew – which Corey disregarded.
Police arrested 90 Day Fiance celeb Corey Rathgeber up for driving drunk a few months back. And, it certainly looks like he is in hot water with the law again for a different reason.
90 Day Fiance: What Does Evelin Villegas’ Former Love Face?
On the surface, this may not seem like a big deal to most 90 Day Fiance followers. It looks like Corey Rathgeber broke curfew to surf. Corey is an avid surfer. And, both he and Evelin Villegas share pics soaking up the sun and sand in Ecuador. But, it looks like his love of the water landed him in trouble with the law.
It turns out breaking curfew is something the country takes very seriously – even though the 2pm curfew is rather early. Citizens in the area can’t currently leave their homes or go surfing – which Corey did.
It’s likely he gets off with a ticket if this was his first offense. But, things could escalate quickly for additional offenses. For example, Corey Rathgeber could wind up behind bars if he does it again.
Evelin Villegas and Corey Spending Quarantine Together?
An inside source recently dished to Soap Dirt that Corey Rathgeber and former flame Evelin Villegas broke up six months ago. The timeline is certainly strange since the duo are in episodes of the TLC web series 90 Day Fiance: What Now. In addition, with coronavirus quarantine in full effect, the two live in the same three-story hostel. Our source tells us that Corey lives on the bottom floor, while Evelin lives on the top floor of a three story building.
SD’s source in Ecuador spilled that Evelin Villegas and her ex Corey are still technically married – and have been for some time. This is despite claims from the pair that they were only engaged. Evelin posted recently that the couple just broke up. But, it turns out they split up some time ago. Despite their current relationship status, it looks like the duo are in close proximity for now while the Covid-19 threat continues.
Meanwhile, it’ll be interesting to see what penalties Corey deals with for breaking curfew. And, it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on how this situation pans out.
