90 Day Fiance: Angela Deem’s Beloved Mother Battles Cancer
Angela Deem’s mom, Glenda Stanridge, has cancer on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After. And, she battled it for a long time. Angela said on HEA that her mother fought cancer five times. She and her mother were close. And, she lived with her daughter, granddaughter Skyla Rae Deem, and her six great-grandchildren.
Meanwhile, even though Angela Deem is a frequent cast member on 90 Day Fiance and its spinoffs, this season of Happily Ever After is the first time viewers see her mother on-camera.
90 Day Fiance: When Did Angela’s Mom Pass Away?
The stay-at-home mom was 77 years old at the time of her passing. This was on February 8, 2020. And, they held her service three days later on February 11. Even though the memorial and graveside service happened in Angela Deem’s hometown of Hazlehust, Georgia, that’s not where her mother died.
Glenda Standridge passed in a hospital in Florida. And, at the time, 90 Day Fiance followers wondered where Angela Deem was – it was unclear whether she was stateside or back in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Angela and hubby Michael shared heartfelt messages remembering Glenda Standridge online. The 90 Day Fiance fan base as a whole reacted to the tragic news. And, several TLC cast members offered their condolences. Fellow stars like David Toborowsky and Paul Staehle reached out. Meanwhile, even Jesse Meester had some kind words to share.
What Did Glenda Standridge Think of Michael Ilesanmi?
90 Day Fiance: HEA watchers see Glenda Standridge alive on the current season of the TLC spinoff. In addition to dealing with her mother’s poor health, Angela Deem gets ready to travel back to Nigeria to be with Michael Ilesanmi.
On top of that, she needs Skyla to make the trip with her. She needs a family member to witness her wedding. And, there’s a lot on her plate in current episodes. Meanwhile, even though Glenda Standridge wasn’t able to attend the wedding in Nigeria, she gave her daughter her blessing to marry Michael.
Even though Angela married Michael Ilesanmi in Nigeria back in January 2020, she wants to have a wedding in America, too. She wanted to do this so Glenda Standridge could see her marry her husband. So, it’ll be a bittersweet event if Michael ever gets to Georgia.
Glenda Standridge’s obituary lists Michael Ilesanmi as her son-in-law. And, the fact that she gave Angela her approval to marry him likely goes a long way since her passing.
