Coronavirus, Soaps, and Scheduling
As of now, the Young and the Restless schedule promised no new soaps on Thursday and Friday, March 19 and 20, due to March Madness basketball playoffs. Now, the NCAA canceled all those games. So, perhaps we’ll get new episodes – or they might do news stories on COVID.
Also, many shows are shutting down production due to COVID-19 concerns. So far, Young and the Restless has not. Many reality shows that involve travel (Survivor and Amazing Race) and shows with live audiences (like talk shows) are changing the way they shoot or hitting the pause button.
